Who and what is Purple Cords Press?
Founded by Meg Welchman in 2015, Purple Cords Press began as a small publishing venture dedicated to “books that inspire.” The quirky name came from her cherished pair of corduroy flares Meg discovered halfway around the world—flares that accompanied her on countless adventures (spot them in the photo above).
In 2016, she expanded the press to include an online course and calendars under the same creative banner.
Although Purple Cords Press has now ceased operations following Meg’s passing, her books, calendars, and e-course remain a testament to her creativity, compassion, and determination to leave the world a better place than she found it– a vision she expressed in the question that guided her work:
“Could a calmer, more mindful population create a kinder and more peaceful earth?”
This website is lovingly maintained by her family in tribute.
